I have worked in the Occupational Health and Safety arena for the last 20 years. These years have given me a great deal of experience, in areas of risk management, health surveillance, sickness absence and rehabilitation, training and all aspects of health and safety.
It is this experience that I would like to utilize to aid your companies.
Initially completing my Registered General Nurse training in 1986, I worked as a theatre scrub nurse for a few years before moving on to work for Slough Occupational Health service (that developed the UK first Group Occupational Health service)

In 1996 I completed the Royal College of Nursing Diploma in Occupational Health; at this time I also undertook and gained an ENB research certificate. I have the status of a specialist practitioner in Occupational Health

Having completed many Occupational Health related courses, including
Many aspects of my role in Occupational health involved imparting knowledge on a formal or individual basis, to enhance my ability I undertook and completed a City and Guilds adult teaching course
It was then time for a greater challenge so I undertook a master’s degree in health and safety at South Bank University and graduated in 2003. This gave me membership of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety

In 2007 I completed successfully the Health and Safety Executives Hand arm Vibration assessment course and passed the Faculty of Occupational Medicine examination

In 2008 I was admitted as a chartered member of the Institute of Occupational Health and safety
